My name is Edgar Arellano-Meli. Living in and bicycling to and from Oakland.
I love all kinds of bikes, especially folding bikes.
I learned how to ride a bicycle as a kid. The wind on my face and the freedom of getting around being one of the biggest joys of my life since then.
I learned how to get around as a commuter, pedaling around 70 daily miles consistently between Anaheim and Long Beach in Southern California during my college pursuits, and as a pedicab for hire in Long Beach to make ends meet during those studies. I got to ride into my wedding reception, with my wife holding onto my shoulders and standing on the rear rack of her Brompton folding bike. I worked with GRID Alternatives to help 100+ clients in the bay area avoid 33 tons of greenhouse gas emissions by switching over to an e-bike for daily uses.
"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving." - Albert Einstein
I’ve been a bilingual Spanish and English bicycle educator, working with all skill level cyclists across various ages to strengthen their confidence to have a more fun time on their bicycles. I’m excited to cycle with you!
