I love biking!
Zooming around the neighborhood as a kid (and with my kids).
Climbing mountains on long distance road rides (some for charity).
Discovering the joy of riding for sustainability and transportation later in life (commuting to work, carrying groceries, and exploring our community).
I'm eager to teach new and returning riders feel comfortable on a bike, teaching in both English and Spanish. I became a League Cycling Instructor (LCI) in 2021 to spread knowledge on how to ride safely and confidently. I bring 16+ years of active involvement in parent participation schools.
I have worked for Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition since 2020 where I previously focused on development and strategic planning and currently serve in a bicycle education role. I taught bicycle safety and led Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs for the City of Palo Alto and the South San Francisco Unified School District. I have experienced working with youth of diverse ages and skill levels, as well as coordinating closely with school districts, administrators, and community partners to successfully deliver bicycle education programs.
I'll guide you step by step toward becoming a happier rider by tailoring each lesson to your goal and comfort level. My favorite part of teaching is connecting with students, helping them build their confidence, and watching them smile with a sense of accomplishment as they master new skills.
Beyond my cycling endeavors, I enjoy traveling, discovering flavors of the world’s cuisines, zwifting, skiing, hiking, and seeking new adventures.
I currently teach through Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, Wheel Kids Bicycle Club, and Bicycle Solutions.
